Complete
So I lift my eyes to You, Lord
In Your strength will I break through, Lord
Touch me now, let Your love fall down on me
I know Your love dispels all my fears
Through the storm I will walk on, Lord
And by faith I will walk on, Lord
Then I'll see, beyond my calvary one day
And I will be complete in You.

Once again a very occasional post. Being a post after a very long time, I'll try to make it substantial.
Firstly, unless you've been living under a rock, you would probably know that ACSI has won the A Div Rugby Police Cup. Being on the team, we were all jittery on the day, but I think on the whole we kept our nerve. Upon starting the team training and warmup on the cathedrail field grounds, I could see the team really working together, despite the growing sea of supporters at the Padang. As for the game, no doubt the team did well, but I guess we were the ones who made more mistakes and ACSI capitalized in that.
School has been rather stressful. I've seriously not been doing well for my studies and I hope that during this time of holidays I can catch up on my work, as well as balancing my workouts. Project work? I'm very grateful that I have a very capable team, and having Genevieve and Joanne who are very driven to do well. I'm also grateful for my class, that despite me being kinda "emo" and all during class, I seriously enjoy being in your company and that I'm really grateful that you guys are in my class. (:
What else can I blog about? A lot has happened, but perhaps I'll talk about the Leaders Retreat.
On the 17th, 18th and 19th of May, COA youth leaders made their way to Pulau Ubin Marina Country Club chalets for a time of fellowship and coming to spend some alone time with God. For me, I guess I was looking forward to a time of relaxation, and also to get back to God. Personally, my aims and goals were quite simple:
To spend time with God and to sit at His feet like Mary did and just listen to him.
Get to know better my fellow leaders!
To practise a hardworking heart, so that I can be a servant leader.
A lot happened during the retreat:
1) Prawn fishing and me getting bitten by one. (AHAHA PRAWN LOOK WHERE YOU ARE NOW!)
2) Playing beach volleyball TWICE
3) Discovering Shani has a knack for unorthodox volleyball moves.
4) Victor is just hilarious during cranium.
More importantly, we had ministry time on the last night and that was, undoubtedly, a very impactful night. We were all praying for each other, and worshipping God, and I could really feel God's presence in that room. And it was more magnified, probably perhaps it was a small room (unlike a large indoor stadium for example) and the sensitivity was more intimate and closer. We went around praying, and people came up to pray for me also, and I can remember God impressing on me this:
Marcus, you have wasted your life long enough. You actually had no chance of being saved. Being human, it is unable for you to not sin. And the punishment for sin is death. You should have been dead long ago and sent to hell. You have no chance of eternal life. But, I sent my son to die for you. You should have been there, but he was there for you. I've given you a second chance at life. Even more than that! You've wasted your life long enough. Change. Do not waste my grace that I've given to you. Be strong, be courageous and be that change that the world needs. Win people for my family. In this very short life that I've granted you, do not put it to waste, but make an impact on the world. Be that light for your friends.
